The atmosphere is casual and reminiscent of a classic diner setting. The steak and seafood dishes were prepared skillfully, although the catfish fell a bit short in comparison. The service was excellent and the pricing for drinks was quite reasonable. I started with the Buffalo shrimp, fried pickles, and fried green tomatoes for appetizers, and each dish was fried to perfection, bursting with flavor and served with homemade fries.

I ordered 2 catfish dinners + 6 hushpuppies on Friday night + a $4 tip and my bill was $47. . I think I was overcharged : I only got 4 catfish on both plates and the salad was pitifully small. I have patronized Steve's for many years but I do not intend to ever go back unless I am reimbursed for these meals. I am very disappointed because I was always satisfied with Steves' until this encounter!

A friend recommended Steves and I went Saturday and got an order to go. I had the fried shrimp basket which came with the shrimp, homemade french fries and cole slaw. It was absolutely delicious!!! Best shrimp I have had in years. Cooked perfectly with a light breading. You could actually taste the shrimp instead of just the breading. Will definitely be going back!!!
