I've heard mixed reviews about this place's food, but since it's nearby, I decided to give it a shot. We ordered the fried catfish and shrimp special for $9.99, which came with 4 catfish strips and 4 shrimp - a pretty good deal. The catfish was delicious, not greasy at all, but the shrimp were a bit tough according to my husband. The hush puppies were cooked perfectly, but could use a bit more flavor besides just the jalapeños. My baked potato was tasty, but my husband wished the fries were crispier, although he did appreciate that they seemed fresh-cut rather than frozen. We skipped dessert this time, but the options looked tempting. Overall, the food was on par with other spots in St. Francisville, and we'll probably return occasionally. I've attached a photo, but I forgot to snap one until after I'd dug into most of the fish. This place really turned things around - the food was fantastic this visit. The fish and fries were perfectly fried, not greasy at all, and the homemade tartar sauce was a hit. Our waiter was attentive, and the manager was helpful. The only small tweak I'd suggest is serving the po' boys separately from the tomatoes to prevent the bread from getting soggy.
