A few days before Labor Day in 2010, my daughter persuaded me to try Smokey's for some ribs instead of cooking at home, which is usually our tradition. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Frank, the owner, who patiently answered my many questions about their cooking methods, assuring me of the quality of the meat. The ribs were meaty and tender, though I would have preferred a spicier sauce, and despite a slight absence of smokiness, the overall experience left us eager to return.
