The Mexican food at El Comedor in Great Falls is exceptional, with a great atmosphere and attentive service. The cold beer pairs perfectly with the flavorful hot sauce that adds a kick to every bite. Despite living out of state now, I always make it a point to stop by whenever I'm back in town to enjoy their fluffy tacos that have remained consistently delicious over the years.

My spouse and I have gone here for years. Used to be once a week, but since new owners took over, not so much. The food just isn't much good as well as the customer service. I used to love their Fat Alberto's, but do not like soggy Fat Alberto's. yuch! I wanted to give them a fair chance, so tried it a few times since new owners and it was good one time out of 8. Their chips are so often all broken up. Just not a fan anymore

Ate here for the last time; was a once a week customer for thirty plus years with family and friends. Since new ownership, it's gone downhill. Used to be decent portion, decent price, and good food. Now the rice is absolutely full of cumin and bitter/overcooked peppers. Enchilada sauce is straight out of a can...used to be damn good. Beans were dry as sawdust. Chips were mostly small broken pieces; placed monkey dish for salsa on top; who wants to eat whatever was on the bowl/counter/hands? Rellenos are no longer seeded; must have to cut back on prep labor?
Server was not fully trained as it took four minutes to use handheld and put in three standard numbered menu items ordered without asking if we wanted anything to drink. He also slapped bill down when delivering food which says I'm never coming back. Wish I'd gotten the bussers name as he brought us water! Seemed he was the only one there with any customer service caring!!!
Watched manager drop chips on floor while filling bowls; left them on the carpet for others to step on and spread around the carpet. Was there an hour and ten minutes; never cleaned them up. What a great way to instill the idea that people care what a restaurant looks like to other workers!
Putting a larger casino in took away a lot of seating. Sure it makes them bigger money than food service yet there are less than five restaurants (excluding fast food) that don't have one and feel like someplace you actually want to take your family.
Between the lack of seating space, larger casino addition, decline in food quality, lack of awareness by management (training staff and personal choice in how her behavior looks), and the new owner valuing gambling over having a family oriented place to eat, we won't be back.

Poor quality food and dirty atmosphere. Day time staff is rude and unprofessional. The owner clearly does not take pride in their business.

Always, our go to place for Mexican food.
Raised on the So.cal/Mexico border.
This a close as it comes to the real deal here in Mt.
Viva la Montana!

Amazing food! Try the Fluffy Tacos. No other tacos will ever equal these!
