The owner is very pleasant, the portions are huge and the BBQ is good (though not great by Southern standards), the Southwestern Burger stands out with its perfect balance of flavor, the sweet cornbread with green pepper is delicious, the atmosphere feels like a college town with a cool decor and center bar, the service is generally excellent and friendly-even handling an emergency with quick, effective action-and overall, after dining there many times, I've never had anything I didn't enjoy, making it a refreshing and satisfying option in a small Northwest Iowa town.

The owner of Crazy Bob's in Hartley is very pleasant, and the portions of BBQ and sides are generous, catering to our Southern tastes. Despite visiting the wrong location initially, I found the burger to be the best I've had in a long time. The atmosphere at the restaurant is surprisingly cool for a rural area, reminiscent of a college town, and the service has always been excellent and friendly.
