I thought the place was closed until I saw the lit OPEN sign above the door, and I was pleasantly surprised that they make the combos fresh. The green bean chicken was especially good, with crisp and fresh green beans, and the Thai tea was a nice choice. The staff are friendly and make you feel comfortable, adding to the charm of this spot near Lake Merritt.
