Awesome place - to review from 1/31/2009 - the last few times I've been, the servers were American. I believe the language barrier issue was addressed and solved, though I never had a problem with the Japanese staff.
Laid back location, clean, food is very good for MidWest sushi. The sushi chef is super nice, sushi is prepared where you can see it. Food other than sushi is good too. My favorites are the tempura udon and also the seaweed salad, yum!
