I've been here a couple of times, and my husband loves to grab a cold one before catching a show at the Genesee. It can feel a bit sketchy on some nights, but during my last visit, the owner was behind the bar sharing stories about its twenty-eight-year history. She kept the name "La Opera" to honor her late husband, who bought the bar, and it's always a chill vibe with affordable beer and a diverse crowd.
