This one of chain of family owned and operated restaurants. I had been to one in over 35 years due to discovering life in other parts of the world. I had very high expectations for what I had when I was younger. I wasn't disappointed.
The carne asada is still amazing, but the best bet is the lower priced shredded beef burrito. This isn't your ordinary run of the mill Americanized Mexican food. There is no cheese, lettuce, or "taco sauce". Real shredded beef, the perfect balance of sauteed onions and chilies wrapped in a hearty well charred tortilla. And they don't skimp on any of the ingredients.
Sometimes there is a pretty long line, but nobody wants to eat at an empty restaurant.
