If you are a foodie, Reno is one of the worst places you can try to find a decent restaurant. La Vecchia is no exception to this sad state of affairs.

PROS:
Reasonably nice atmosphere with views
Reasonably good service
Fresh sourdough bread is good
Wine list is decent

CONS:
The food is edible, but not good and certainly not authentic Italian
The price is excessive given the low quality of the food

We had the chicken parmesan was awful at $21.50 a plate. We asked for the crispy salmon to be cooked medium and it came out raw. The salmon piece was tiny - maybe 3 or 4 inches long. The Veal Emeliana was ok but not great. The spinach side dish was decent.

Unless you are just going for the atmosphere, save a ton of money and eat out at Olive Garden if you want low quality, fake Italian food.
