The worst omelette I have ever had in my life! Cold, greasy....

The bathroom has to be on par with bathrooms at the LA Greyhound station!

Dirty..

Footnote: I had my party at Hamdogs on November 20, 2009. It was fabulous! The restaurant staff set up the tables, perfectly; and catered to my 55 guests who attended, superbly. Everyone enjoyed their steak, shrimp, pork chops, ribs and salmon dinners. We all had a great time. Thank you, Hamdogs!

Wow. The previous reviews are pretty brutal. I have a very different opinion on their menu and food. First of all, where are you going to get a 20 oz. Filet Mignon for $30? Their pork chops are wonderful, as well. You will not be disappointed. I also recommend their salmon. I LOVE their meats; cooked over red oak wood. It's worth every penny. (A 20 oz. filet mignon costs $25-30 at Scolari's Grocery Store.) Their clam chowder is also very good. I wish they'd bring back the rice pilaf, instead of plain white rice, as a side dish option, though. I have never seen the cooks smoke in the kitchen. It's not a fancy place, but it isn't meant to be. My friends and I go there about every month and have a great time, by the way. I am also hosting a dinner party for 50-60 people there in November. (I will be bringing my own wine, though. What they have there is okay.) I am looking forward to introducing my friends to the food at Hamdog's. It's not for everyday, but it certainly is a treat. Thanks for listening.

I used to really like Hamdogs. I admit it's kinda gross to think the cooks are smoking while preparing your food, but it never seemed to hurt me. It's a bar and grill with tasty food, decent portions and great prices. Overall it's about what you would expect. What killed it for me is when they went to the BBQ menu in the evenings. The prices are crazy! I was willing to put up with the smoke, dirty bathrooms and sticky tables when 10 bucks got me a beer and dinner, but now the evening menu has entrees approaching 30 bucks. Sorry guys, Hamdogs used to be a favorite of mine, but since I always went in the evenings your off my list for good.

I AGREE WITH THE LAST POST. HAMDOGS IS NASTY , DIRTY.I ALSO WORKED THERE FOR AWHILE . THE COOKS DO SMOKE IN THE KITCHEN, THE RESTROOMS ARE JUST HORRIBLE .
THE FOOD IS LIKE TRUCKSTOP FOOD .THE BREAKFAST WAITRESS IS IGNORANT .
THE NEW OWNER IS ACTUALLY A PAWN FOR THE TWO REAL OWNERS WHO WERE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS .NOW THEY LURK IN THE SHADOWS PULLING STRINGS . THIS ENTIRE ESTABLISHMENT IS A MESS . DONT EAT THERE !!!!

DO NOT EAT HERE! I worked there for six months. I always kept my bar clean, but the rest of the facility is filthy, especially the kitchen and the bathrooms. They break the Nevada statute regarding the clean-air act and smoke in the restaurant regardless of the fact that they serve food. The cooks CHAIN SMOKE IN THE KITCHEN while cooking!

I was fired for being a whistleblower on these issues. The service is terrible and will amount to the same service you'd receive at a Wal-Mart checkstand.

Shame on Hamdogs for not taking care of their facility, not offering good food, breaking health safety laws, and firing employees for trying to clean it up and make it a better place.

Overall for those of you who have never been there; FILTHY environment, mediocre food, lame service, and BORING atmosphere. It's a straight up dive.
