Taqueria Morelos on Washington Avenue offers authentic Mexican cuisine with flavorful dishes like menudo on Sundays, enchiladas verdes, and excellent carne asada burritos. The service is attentive and accommodating, with generous portions and complementary chips and homemade salsa. Outdoor seating is abundant, the prices are reasonable, and the selection of beers is a nice addition, making it a reliable option for lunch or dinner in Escondido.

There's a cozy Mexican joint on Washington Ave by Walgreens with tasty menudo on Sundays. Their Huevos Rancheros are so good, even I, a non-fan, order them.
