Growing up around Berwyn or Lyons, Salerno's pizza feels like a part of my roots with its thick, bready crust and that unique browned layer of cheese, though I always wish they'd be more generous with their delicious sauce. Whether grabbing a thin crust for delivery or enjoying their half-price Monday deal, the pizza is consistently fresh, flavorful, and hits the spot every time.

Growing up in Berwyn or Lyons means your DNA is probably half Salernos, 49% Bennys (RIP), and 1% RC cola. Salernos offers unique thick browned cheese, a bready crust as thick as your mom's mattress, and sassiches that set them apart from the competition. Despite a slight sauce scarcity, the pizza is delicious and distinct, making it worth a try for a taste of local flavor.
