The Farmhouse Restaurant was a nice change of pace, in not eating fast food or a chain restaurant. The waiter was training a new waitress, both were very nice and attentive. We came early on Saturday around 11:15 and there were customers on the patio having a good time. We decided to be = seated inside; it is an old-style farmhouse environment with individual stalls/tables. The prices are a little more than I expected, but once the food arrived, I wasn't complaining. My daughter got the Farmhouse Chicken Sandwich with sweet potato fries and she stated it was one of the best she had ever gotten. My wife got the kitchen sink quiche, loved it. My son got the Brunch Bowl, and I got Biscuits & Gravy - it had some of the best gravy I've ever eaten, including my own. We really enjoyed the meal and when we are back visiting our daughter in Blacksburg - We'll be back.

Cold food, small portions, understaffed. Prime rib was very cold and had rested too long- worst prime rib I've ever had. Our waitress had lost her voice and was communicating through whispering and wearing no mask. It was claimed she lost her voice at a hokie bball game. I lost my voice and became ill a couple days later. Coincidence, I don't know? Management apologized but didn't offer me my money back for the meal.
