After relocating from Chicago, where I enjoyed a variety of delicious cuisines, including Mexican fare, I found the Mexican food scene in DC to be lacking. However, after discovering La Puerta Verde, I was pleasantly surprised by their classic margarita, which stands out as one of the best I've had in the area. Their carne quesadilla with corn tortillas also left a lasting impression, making La Puerta Verde one of my preferred Mexican dining spots in DC.
