I took my husband to Chelo for our anniversary and we ended up sitting right by the oven, which was such a cool experience watching the chefs in action. We ordered way too much, from guacamole and chilaquiles to duck and tacos, and while the meat dishes were perfectly seasoned, the vegetarian ones felt a bit light on salt unless you added the fantastic salsas they provided. The cozy interior, friendly service, and amazing desserts like the tres leches made it a really memorable night, and I'm already looking forward to going back.
