I am updating my previous five-star review after my experience last night.
Short story, I've never been treated more rudely by a restaurant staff member in my life. Eat here if you want; the food is usually pretty good... if you have a complaint keep it to yourself or prepare to be publicly scolded and get a lecture on how they are the experts.

Long story - It was my 46th birthday. My parent drove three hours to take me to dinner at a local favorite of theirs. My wife and I also eat here regularly (or did). I ordered a $37 16oz prime-rib entree cooked medium-rare. When it arrived at the table, I sliced into the center of the steak and found that though it was pink at the center most point, the majority of the steak was cooked much closer to a medium. I politely explained this to the waitress and she promptly addressed it with an apology and said she would fix it. No problem...
A few moments later, a person from inside approached the table and without so much as introducing himself, set the plate down on the table and said "that steak is medium-rare, we arent going to cook a new steak and throw out a perfectly cooked one. If you want me to take the steak off the bill say so". This exchange was loud, confrontational, and on the center of a crowded patio. I pressed back and asked about why the steak was more grey than pink, he insisted it was pink and that I needed to come inside to look at it in the light. I pulled out a flashlight and shined it on the steak, and was told that didn't matter, that I needed to see it inside in the light. He was persistent, aggressive, and loud. It was clear there would be no change so I refused to get up and discuss it further inside. I just said I would eat the steak. He slid the plate towards me and said again "you want me to take it off the bill?". I told him to do whatever he thought was right. Without another word he stormed back inside.
After dinner the owner came out to discuss the issue regarding lighting and how they are experts and that it was perfectly cooked. I advised him I at the steak, it was fine, and that the cook on the meat was no longer my issue. Rather, I took exception to the way I was spoken to. He advised this was his manager and that he is a 'very good person' and it must have been a misunderstanding. I know when I've been shouted at, and scolded. There was no misunderstanding. I tried to explain my side of the experience but was interrupted so many times I had to actually stop to ask him to let me finish a sentence.
At the end of the day, the owner insisted the steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, and that his manager was a great person who must have just been caught up in the moment. They took the steak off the bill, and gave me a piece of cake as a birthday treat. At no point did the manager reappear to apologize for the way he spoke to me, and at no point did the owner say he was sorry for the experience, he just kept insisting the manager was a good person. The closest I got to any kind of honest apology for being publicly reprimanded by a bartender/manager was as the owner walked away he said "sorry you got upset on your birthday".
Everyone makes mistakes, but I wont do business with people who refuse to take ownership or make them right. The steak was on the edge and I could have lived with it, but I will not tolerate being verbally abused publicly while trying to enjoy a dinner with my wife and parents.
