Stopped by this place based on a recommendation and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious southern food. The ribs, mac and cheese, jambalaya, corn bread, black eyed peas, and southern greens were all excellent choices. The ambience was nice, the place was clean, and the staff was friendly - definitely planning on returning when I'm in Battle Creek next. The lunch experience exceeded my expectations with the beautiful decor, tranquil atmosphere, and outstanding food like the gumbo, cornbread, and greens. The owners mentioned they are working on getting a liquor license which will be a nice addition for dinner service; both indoor and outdoor seating are available.
