What a surprising gem this place was as my husband and I were visiting Laredo on business from Austin. To be honest I was wondering if we would find a suitable place to eat for dinner that wasn't the usual Mexican fare.
I searched on Yelp and was intrigued by the description, menu and reviews. We were not disappointed- it is new, the decor and lighting are very tasteful and pleasing. Food was delicious and great choices if you like salads and veggies but also meat and fish options. It was Happy Hour so our wine was half price and it was good. Service was excellent - Alfonso was our server and he was so helpful and attentive - wish there was one of these in Austin. Would definitely recommend Anise Kitchen + Market.
