I've recently had two meals at Bollywood Grill, in the company of two other people, and all of us were delighted. I like Indian food, and have a number of friends from India, so I've eaten at many Indian restaurants and at the homes of friends from India. Bollywood's cuisine is excellent. The flavors in every dish I've tasted are complex, yet subtle. I don't like "heat" -- I never order vindaloo, for instance -- but I appreciate a hint of heat, as long as it doesn't overwhelm the other flavors. Indian cuisine is a cuisine of many flavors, complex spice. Bollywood does an amazing job of making every dish intriguing and delicious. Also, several of the dishes I tried, like the kur-kuri bhindi chaat, crispy okra, are unusual, original in the way they are prepared. There are many tasty dishes for vegetarians, and, for those who eat meat, the lamb dishes are succulent and beautifully prepared. Tandoor dishes also are done to perfection. Visually, the presentations are beautiful, and enhance the dining experience. And the decor is lovely and soothing. Whenever I go to the Jacob Burns Film Center, and plan to dine out afterward, I will go to Bollywood Grill.
