The seafood here is consistently fresh and well-prepared, with fried clams, scallops, and lobster being particular highlights. Seating is casual, mostly picnic tables inside and out, and customers often bring their own beverages since alcohol is not sold on-site. While the chowder and some fountain drinks have been disappointing, the overall quality and atmosphere make it a reliable choice for classic New England seafood.

I have been going to Brown's restaurant since I was 7yrs old. Then I moved haven't been for 12yrs. I went a week ago and it was awesome 😃. Just like I remember. Of course I got the steamers,and lobster pie 😋. It brought back so many memories I was smiling ear to ear! Thank you, Michelle

Lobster was over cooked and clam chowder had no clams in it. Totally sucked -ss!!! Never going back!!

Have been going here for years. Havent been there for over a year. Food was always great. Went last week and the haddock was overcooked and tasteless. The size of the haddock portion was less than 1/2 the size it usually is. Scallops were bland. Texture was good. Onion rings were a weird almost rubbery texture with no taste. Very disappointing trip. Everything we bought was substandard. Dont know if we will ever go back. Very sad

I really don't see how this example of New England perfection could garner any less than 5 stars! I've been a customer for over 20 years and have never EVER been disappointed. They serve what should be considered the best of the best when it comes to fresh seafood. Heck, even the cole slaw and french fries are above reproach! Go and order your favorite and please leave an honest review. It WILL be a 5 star happy happy! Matter of fact, I'm heading there today!
