Fairbanks Airport may be small, but it's got character - and a limited selection of food options. During my recent visit, the coffee shop was closed, but the bar was buzzing with energy and a bit of a wait. The reindeer chili and Caesar salad hit the spot, and the strong bloody Mary made the flight delay almost enjoyable. It might be a bit chaotic and pricey, but for airport dining, The Local is a solid choice in Fairbanks.

However the hours are inconsistent and frustrating when you show on a Saturday afternoon and they're closed.

Never a good place. No waitress, no food, nothing at all is wat I got. Been sitting for an hour and nobody came up to me.
