On Sunday, December 24th, 2023, I had a spinach and red pepper quiche slice along with a gingerbread cookie, which arrived quickly after ordering at the counter, and a complimentary chocolate-frosted cream puff; while all were good, they didn't quite reach excellence. The Kouign Amann with apples stood out as exceptional, featuring a warm, buttery bottom, caramelized crust, and creamy center with soft apple chunks, making it a memorable pastry experience. The bakery, also known as Gilda's, offers a variety of delicious items such as cinnamon rolls, crepes, and croissants, all served with friendly and attentive service in a small, welcoming setting.

I visited this bakery for lunch on a Sunday and enjoyed a slice of spinach and red pepper quiche along with a gingerbread cookie. The food arrived quickly after ordering at the front counter in the small cafe. While the items were good, they did not reach the level of excellence I was expecting.

My brother and sister-in-law, from Traverse City, were bragging about how Boyne City Bakery makes the best Kouign Amann. I said I love this pastry from a bakery in Montreal. On a recent trip to Montreal he liked the pastry but said I just have to try it from Boyne City Bakery. Well today they sent us 2 Kouign Amann to New Jersey and he is right; the pastry is SO delicious. My husband immediately ate 3 big pieces It's our new favorite! Keep up the good work.

The best crepes I have ever had! The coffee is amazing. I have a gluten sensitivity and can eat the buckwheat crepes without an issue. I highly recommend Boyne City Bakery.
