Ordered the "Dueling Filet Mignon" prepared medium well. The presentation was nice. The asparagus were decent and the mashed potatoes were ok. One of the 4 oz. filets was cooked, the other was a little too bloody and stained the mashed potatoes red. Everything arrived warm like it had been sitting for a while. After a bit of a wait, the waitress came back to the table and took the whole plate with the obviously under cooked filet back to the kitchen to be cooked a bit longer and hopefully to the point at which it would stop mooing. Upon her return, I was pleasantly surprised to see the kitchen had provided a new serving of potatoes and asparagus. After further cooking, the one under cooked filet was actually prepared the way I had expected it to be except for the fact that once again, after "re-cooking", it and everything else arrived just warm (not hot as expected), and the one filet that did not require re-cooking was stone cold. Yummy! I can honestly say that my favorite part of the entire meal was the onion straws topped with the balsamic vinegar reduction, even though these were also cold and just a bit soggy after all of the shuffling around.
But wait, there's more! The best part of this fabulous meal was the reminder of how good it tasted when I woke up at 1:00 am with stomach cramps and nausea. Yes, I tasted it again and again each time my stomach convulsed and the wonderful flavors, now accented with stomach acid, passed across my tongue and into the porcelain fixture I was kneeling before. After the wonderful reminder of how good this meal tasted, it was then time to be reminded of how filling it was. As I then sat upon the same porcelain throne that I had previously been kneeling before, I had the privilege of feeling this now highly liquified meal gush out again and again in waves of discomfort.
With all things considered, one star is very generous, and I would rather dig through a dumpster behind a Chinese take-out, the day before trash pickup, in mid-summer heat, before eating at this establishment again.
