On August 16 2008 I went to Richman's Ice Cream. I got there around 8:50 and was sat next to some really fat guy, his really fat wife, and there obnoxious kid who seemed to be around 11- 12 years old. The place looked great, my server (Karylynn, kailinn?) was nice but this guy sitting next to me kept complaining. "Oh my god look a t that a napkin over there on the floor; those tables haven't been bussed: my vagina hurts" yada yada yada. Then the wife got in on it. She said things like, "You said we could have one good night with out you complaining about everything blah blah blah" Then this guy when he eats doesn't even use a fork. He ate face first like a pig. His wife did the same. I almost puked, The kid he keeps saying daddy daddy please use a fork. But his dad didn't. His dad also clogged up the toilet in the bathroom. Nasty. They ruined my night.
I go to Richman's alot. Saturdays during the summer is jampacked due to the fact theres a rodeo down the street. Usual food wait times on a saturday is a whopping 40 minutes, its really that busy. Things usually taper off at about 8:30. The food is great, the ice cream is the best in south jersey, all hard dipped none of the soft serve crap. OVerall a great place to eat as long as you don't sit next to fatty and his nasty wife. Their son was very polite though.

As a kid back in the 60's and 70's, Richman's and Cowtown rodeo were an at least monthly event in my family. I have many a fond memory of going to the rodeo then off to Richman's afterwards before heading home to bed.
On August 16, 2008, I decided to share that memory with my wife and 11 year old son. Words can not describe my disgust and dismay with the condition of the place. The floor was sticky with trash all over. 3 unbused tables met you on your way to the restrooms. I understand a place having a hard time keeping up with a large crowd, but we got there around 8:45 and there were less than 5 tables occupied. People standing around the counter could have picked up a broom or mop or at least bussed the tables that looked like they had been left there for quite a while. We ordered our ice cream which was very good. The entire time we were there no one made any attempt at cleaning the place up. Considering we were there for approximately 1 hour, it says much about how the old memories of Richman's are just that, memories. I will not be returning.
