I take been taking my family to the Poconos for vacation trips for many years. Every time we go, we stop at Hot Dog Johnny's on the way up, way back, or both. I happened to stop there today, National Hot Dog Day, on my way home from a boating weekend with my oldest son. We both had a couple of great hot dogs and fries and we created a great memory for both us. I hope some day that he can do the same with his son. This is the kind of place that you hope lasts forever. I love Hot Dog Johnny's!

Been going there since the 1960's. In the truck with my father. Uncle and grandpa. Good memories.

First time visitors. We drove from Allentown Pa. and was not disappointed at all.Dogs where good, fries excellent, and the birch beer was on point (that means very good). Although the lines where the long the service was fast, (also on point). Will definitely be returning.

I’m. Sorry to hear people say they get sick from under cooked hot dogs . There’s not much truth to that , because as a child I would go to our local butcher and he would hand all the kids raw hotdogs we ate them that way . Never ever got sick and there were hundreds of us eating raw hotdogs. I will be coming from pa. Tomorrow just to try these hotdogs . I’ll give you a review tomorrow after I’ve had one

Truly an experience whether you
Like hot dogs or not it’s a beautiful place to stop and unwind , have a birch beer ,(hard to find these days) . I happen to live hot dogs and theirs are the best ! Idk what they use to cook them but yummy ! The owner was even working in the place ! Shows some pride and doesn’t mind smelling like hot dogs and onions ! Good in my book! Than you Hot Dog Johnnies for some wonderful
Memories !

Stopped on 10/17 2020. 1/2 hr after we stopped 2 of us got food poisioning?? UK- Called the owner and she came back with an attitude that it WAS NOT FROM MY STAND?? I read on trip advisor that someone on 10/4/2020 HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN. OWNER WAS NASTY TO THEM AND ME.
IF YOU STOP THERE BE REALLY CAREFUL. NO MASKS, NO GLOVES, 3 PEOPLE HANDLING THE DOGS ANT THE PREMISES IS DISCUSTING. NO SANITIZERS AND PEOPLE GETTING SICK FROM UNDER COOKED HOTDOGS JUST TO GET THE LINE MOVING. Time for the health dept to shut it gown until they clean up the nasty place??

I have been going to hot dog Johnny's for years, I love it there I live in Pennsylvania so it's a little bit of a ride but I take my time and I enjoy the view and then when I get there I have my hot dog french fries and my birch beer couldn't be any better!

If I could give them a "0" that would be too high. Food fair - owner has an attitude!! Only place around where you can get a quick hot dog. They got so busy that they were not cooking them, we all got extremely sick!!! I called the owner who didn't care and informed me that "no one gets sick from her hot dogs". Go ahead and write a review, that won't hurt anything. Beware everone!!!!! One day an inspector will stop in - good luck to them. She needs some competition and even a McDonalds would pull this place down!!

I also used to stop there with my family for hot dogs on the way to my grandmother's! Once they weren't open yet because it was so early. My father told them how we stop there every time we are heading to her house and they opened for us!!! They definitely have a place in my heart with many fond memories. I even drove there once with my sister just for a hot dog because we were craving them! Lol. An hour and a half each way and totally worth it. One year I even saw a fellow at my school (NYU) wearing a Hot Dog Johnny's tshirt and said something to him. It's got almost like a cult following. A hot dog cult! Lol. But only in the best way!! I LOVE Hot Dog Johnny's. Now my youngest daughter just re-discovered it (she has a terrible memory but she's been there plenty of times! Lol) with my niece. That makes me really happy to know she's got such good taste!! 😄 And equally as good - she brought me some!! Lol.

Husband and I went there today from Pa. The hot dogs were good, the prices are awesome. VERY DISAPPOINTING, when they told us they have no chili and no cheese. Will not be going back

I went there with my family for many years on our way to Pennitsylvania to visit my grandparents. It was the high point of our trip and would ask our Mom if we were near Hot Dog Johnny's yet. Many years later I was making the trip again with family and relatives and was so surprised to see that they were still there. It was like going back in time not only to be there but to have the best hot dogs and root beer ever.It was like a time machine and I was so glad they were a part of my childhood. I wish them many more wonderful years.
