Interesting that when you order pizza I the dining room you get no bruschetta or anything. And they serve it on cheap paper plates while everyone else gets a real dish. Makes you feel like a second class citizen for ordering pizza, even though you order a bottle of wine.
Kind of a chintzy move in my opinion.

Went to Mama Mia for the first time and the atmosphere was dark and muted but not tacky. The aromas that permeated the place were pleasant and herbal. the place was very clean. The server was professional but not personable. The menu was classic Italian with nice variety. The Bread arrived with a lovely herbal butter and several sticks of chewy herbed focaccia which was delightful. The salads had hearty greens and a nice house dressing. Complimentary bruschetta was delicious. The topping was so copious I had plenty to add to my already great salad..

My table was a foursome. Two ordered pasta, one eggplant parmesan, and I orderd the rack of lamb. The dishes all were attractive and generous. I tried my wifes' tortellini and really found it flavorful. Unfortunately the lamb had turned and it was missed by the kitchen. The waitress seemed incredulous but within 5 minutes I was offered another choice and was comped for both of the dishes I ordered which was appropriate but not expected. They made it right and that just confirmed that their standards are very high and are not so haughty that they can't admit a mistake whan it occurs. For that reason alone I will return. The food was almost perfect. I suspect they don't make very many mistakes.

We finished with key lime pie and a perfectly presented espresso with the classic lemon peel like the old days. We were all impressed and happy at the end of the service.
