This cracker barrel is foing down the tubes.
This was not the first time that we had issues with this cracker barrel. Whether they won't seat you because some one is in the restroom or give up your spot because one person was 5 minutes late. This time we tried to check in early online as the manager had instructed us to do early in the day. It didn't matter because when we got there we still had to wait well over an hour to be seated. However since the woman kept saying 15-20 minutes to be seated we didn't leave at first. If we had know how long it was truly going to take we would have left right away. However, they strung us along. We spoke with a manager and they could not understand our plight. I mean regardless that I am 7 months pregnant with 3 toddlers in toe. Along with so3ne other members of family. Then when we sat and ordered I asked for the biscuits right away because I was so nauseated. But they never came and we were in obscure section. No staff walked by to get anything. Then things we asked for to come before the meal came after ex. Gravy soup biscuits. I felt bad for the waitress because half way through we realized she was a rising star which meant she was new. I don't understand why the manager who knew we were already displeased with the service sat us with a new employee to see the weaknesses. Customer service has gone down the tubes. We will never be attending this cracker barrel again.

This chain features some of the best food anywhere at reasonable prices. The staff at this particular one in Mount Arlington, New Jersey are especially friendly, efficient and well trained. On weekends the place can be quite crowded, but while you're waiting to be seated you can browse the many interesting items they have for sale in their old-timey general store. Nice atmosphere. I eat there quite often. It's like having dinner with grandma whenever you want!
