I went for the first time yesterday and enjoyed it. I expect to return again. The chili was mild but pleasant with a beautiful presentation which included great fresh hot tortilla chips. The fried pickles were great! I had a burger for the main course and it was large and tasty. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was very attractive. I liked that salad could be exchanged for the fries at no cost. I think something went wrong with our meal, because their was an extremely long gap between the soup course and the main course, then they brought out my correct meal and a wrong one for my companion. Then, they took BOTH dinners away. When we got them back, both were cold. So, I took off one star. But, it seemed like all the other diners got their food in normal time, so this was probably some odd exception. As I said, I do expect to return, because it was a generally pleasant experience.

I went to the Canal House and thought it was very nice... Staff was great service excellent and the Prime Rib delicious... The bar has 20 draft beers and everyone is friendly.... They have music all weekend I would definitely make this my place to go for dinner and drinks

I had a chicken sandwich, not hard to make right, wrong. The chicken was dry as sand and the bread was just about transformed into a cracker. My friend had the burger or should I say two bites, again dry as a bone. who is cooking or should I say trying to. Don't waste your time or money

The hamburger was very dry and overcooked even though I specifically asked for medium.The beer was probably watered down because it didn't taste like a Sam Adams which is my favorite.And what is with the staff cleaning the parking lot and mowe the lawn in their white coats they use to cook and serve food in????The health department should shut you down!

Good food, good service
I tried the penne rustica, l have never had this before it was very good, fillit manion, spinach, mushrooms, shrimp,penne pasta, tomatoes in a tomatoes based sauce. I would have liked it cooked a little more, but that's just me. I wish I could get the recipe
