Working in the area, I've been searching for a satisfying Cuban sandwich. Son Cubano on 14th is decent but pricey, while the spot on 8th near the 20s is passable. However, Calidad Latina stands out with flavorful pork and ham on delicious bread, though the roasted pork sandwich can be a bit dry. The lunch specials are reasonably priced, around $28 for two with margaritas, and the front seating area offers a pleasant spot to dine with views of 9th Avenue on warm days.
