It's not possible to share my experience because I called at 12:30 pm. on Sunday, Sept. 13th, to ask about the days Mt. Gretna Brewery is open for lunch. I specifically asked about Wednesday.
"Uh, yes we're open for lunch on Wednesday; we open at 4 pm, the woman who answered the phone said.
"Opening at 4 pm isn't lunchtime. What days do you serve lunch, like at 11 or 11:30 am?" I asked.
Again a hesitation. "Uh, on Saturdays we're open at 11 am and on Sundays for brunch," the woman said. (The website says that indeed the brewery opens at 11 am on Wednesdays. ???)
"Gee, I'm not going to get to use this Local Flavor gift certificate I bought. We were going to come in the winter then the COVID-19 hit which cut off several months from our gift certificate. Guess I may as well say the money was wasted."
"I'm sorry," the woman said. There was no offer to extend it. I'm shocked as I was going to bring another friend and introduce her to your relatively new brewery in the area.
There was no, "I could check with the manager and see if there could be an extension to your certificate. We'd love to have you try our business." Simply nothing. Even Hersheypark extends season passes several months.
We eat out in the Hershey area a lot with season ice hockey tickets. Too bad we need to say it appears from the employee behavior you're not interested in any new business.
