A Little hole in the wall Bar area. Pool Table, Darts, jukebox and grit!
A place my Grandfather brought my Father and My father bought me
like so many hard working union county blue collar families around here. The food was always good and priced fair. The drinks also.
This was a well liked bar by the locals and survived many generations.
It was a fun little place.... But suddenly it was gone.
The Business was purchased by an out of state man from N.Y.
Who Knew nothing of the Family of people who enjoyed the Bar.
Despite being a turn-key & thriving business he abruptly shut it down

He never even took one week to try to talk with the local people.
Those Who had keep the place profitable & open for generations.
Did not even seem to care about the locals......

He Closed the sale and Locked The Door.......

He wants to build a Fancy Bistro Style Cocktail Lounge.....

Probably want to name it after his wife....

Good Bye Umberto's, and Bert Thank You for all your hospitality
to the community and your honest fair way of doing business
for all Those years..
It was nice to have a place to relax with friends where you didn’t feel ripped off by overpriced yuppie style service.
