I visited on a Wednesday afternoon with no wait, and the ribs were incredibly juicy and flavorful, while the mac and cheese had a comforting, soulful style that reminded me of home-cooked meals. The collard greens, chicken, and cornbread all exceeded my expectations, and the portions were generous enough to share or save for multiple meals. Meeting the owner's daughter added a personal touch, and the wing dinner, fish sandwich, and desserts like strawberry cake and peach cobbler were absolutely delicious, truly capturing the essence of southern comfort food.

I visited on a Wednesday afternoon around 3 and was pleased to find no line. The ribs were exceptional, juicy, and full of flavor, reminiscent of a dish featured on a cooking show. The mac and cheese had a soulful style with mild cheese, complemented by tasty collard greens and flavorful chicken. Despite the $20 price tag, the generous portions make it perfect for sharing or enjoying over multiple meals.

The food here is disgusting. Someone recommended this place. So, I went here to order what I thought would be good soul food. I visited on more than one occasion thinking maybe it was a bad day at Mamas. Nah, after another visit and ordering a entirely different dish I've concluded they're disgusting. The chicken wings had feathers all over them so I trashed them after taking a picture to show the public. A previous visit I had fried pork chop dinner and a fried turkey wing dinner for my spouse. The chops were dry and old and the turkey wings were dry and hard. The yams were straight from the can. They don't even bother to make them taste and look good. I'm disappointed and will not waste anymore $$ there. I'll try Corn Breads in the near future. If they're no good I'll write about them too. But, soul food fans don't waste money on Mamas on Springfield Ave. The food isn't cleaned well and frankly they can't cook. Straight up. See the pic of the dirty chicken wings. I spent $25+ there and threw away most of the food I ordered. Make them clean up their act to get your business. They should Hire a real cook or chef for starters. Mamas is nasty, for real. Yuk!

Called to order they don't answer phone so I went to restaurant and even though they were open just not to the public because of private catering event they should not post that they are open online.

Beware when ordering your food before arriving and make sure you check it before leaving. Ive had better service and food....But when the staff is busy you'll liable to get what you didn't order. Once again CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE LEAVING....
