I really enjoy eating here; the food is consistently great, especially the sushi and ice cream. The staff is super friendly and always on top of refilling drinks, which makes for a pleasant experience. With a clean environment and a wide variety of options, it's a reliable spot for a satisfying meal, and I'm always happy to return.

The buffet is spacious and offers a wide variety of dishes, including fresh vegetables, fish, and sushi, as well as a selection of desserts like fresh fruit and jello. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that tables are promptly cleared and customers are taken care of. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the good quality of the food and the excellent service provided.

The rating is based on the service my wife got on that day as the food is not bad.
Even though the food is pretty good my complaint is the wy my wife was treated. My wife and my son are regulars there. One day they were there and it was like 4pm when they switch for dinner. The only item they change is they take out a chicken and bring out Shrimp So my wife took 6 shrimp, wel you would think she committed a crime. They embarresed her by running over and not only telling her she cannot have the shrimp unless she pay dinner price but TOOK THEM OFF THE TABLE, So unprofessional and horrible customer service. People were looking to see what she did. In all my yers going to buffets I hve never seen this reaction. If they change for dinner they never stopped anyone from eating the dinners menue. It is a cost of doing business. If not for my son who like the plce We would never go there again.
Shame on the person who did tht. Definitely does not belong in customer service.

My family and I have been going to China Buffet in Hazlet since it opened. It was half the size back then and then they took over the store next to them as well. I have never had any problems and the food has always been good. We go there once a week and have for a very long time, but tonight I was told by the woman in pink that carries the food out from the kitchen, no no no no, when I asked her what she meant, she pointed to my dish of steamed clams 14 in total, for me and my husband, and proceeded to say one, two! One two! I waited 20 minutes for them to come out and then they only put 14 out with a fairly busy dining room! I was mortified, as she said this to me as I was walking away and their were lots of people standing next to me. My usual dinner there is clams vegetables and a piece of fish. This is my once a week treat. I usually have fruit and my husband will have dessert. We always leave the waitress 20% tip as they are always kind to us and they deserve it. Tonight will be the last time we will ever eat there! There will be no more groups of us and our friends that we take there at least once a month 8 of us in total. Never have I ever been treated this way in any restaurant, never mind a buffet. If you don't want people to eat a certain dish, don't serve it! And if you do serve it put enough out to feed more than 2 people! Very very disappointed! Now I will be contacting our local newspaper and tell them our story as well! I will share this with all of my social networks and pages as well! Horrible customer service for very good, loyal, customers!
