Went there for NY Eve party. Everything was really nice! Band was awesome. Staff was excellent. Good food. We were all having a really nice time. Then the owner shows up drunk with a bunch of his friends(?), about 1:30 AM, and starts ranting and cursing at the band, who had almost finished packing up their equipment. He was screaming that the band had ruined the party. The guitar players wife was sitting nearby, with her crutches next to her, and the guy was screaming at her. He started cursing at some people that were just standing nearby. I couldn't believe what was happening. He was obviously just looking for a fight. I think that he was really drunk and trying to play big shot in front of his friends. Then he physically attacked some guy that was just standing nearby, when the guy said to the owner, "We were all having a great time until you started your stuff." The owner grabbed him, and was pushing him back against the wall. The guy was practically begging the owner to take his hands off of him. The owner did not let him go. The guy finally grabbed the owner back, when the owners sons (I heard some of them call the owner Dad.?) jumped on the dude. The whole time they were yelling at the guy to get out, but they weren't letting him leave. They were trying really hard to hurt the poor guy. While they were jumping on him trying to beat him up, he was trying to stay up and move towards the exit. I saw the sons fighting with him, and the whole time on of them was on his back, and kicking him on the outside of his knee, trying to destroy his knee. Must have kicked him in the same spot at least 6 times. The guy was somehow holding up all these guys on him, on one leg. His knee buckled every time he was kicked. The whole time the owner had hold of the guys long hair, and was pulling it as hard as he could, while he was trying to punch the guy. The guy finally made it to the door, and his knee went out out on the pavement outside the door. Then the kids were yelling at him and calling him a p***y, because he could not get up without someone helping him. As he was being helped toward his car, they kept calling him that name, yelling at him that he was a p***y, because he was limping away. I thought the guy exercised enormous restraint. He didn't say anything back, and was just trying to leave. I don't think I have ever witnessed such a sadistic attack on someone. It looked like he could not put any of his weight on his leg. I can never go back there as long as that owner might possibly show up, and turn a nice evening into a nightmare. It is unbelievable to me that someone like that can own and maintain a decent restaurant, and bar. He totally ruined what had otherwise been a very nice night. The most unprofessional thing that I have ever seen. Disgusting.
