07/17/2007 - Bad Service & Average Food Along With It
The place was mostly empty and everything was still slow. The chips/salsa came out with our entrees 20 minutes after we ordered, instead of soon after we sat down like most places. The food was ok and the portion sizes were tiny compared to other places. The waitress took forever for the bill, and it came back with about $5 added on for each entree. When we inquired about this (which again took forever), she informed us that we had apparently ordered off the lunch menu instead of the dinner menu. Well, that's what you fools gave us when we sat down - not our fault! Of course, she was not willing to budge and said we should have known the prices beforehand (???) We asked to speak to the manager, and of course the same waitress happened to be the manager (yeah right). After a lot of back and forth, she agreed to rightfully give us the reduced price. What was worse is that they had automatically charged an 18% gratuity, and we were only a party of 3 - I don't remember if this was stated on the menu, but most places go with this with a party of 5/6 or more, usually. We were spent from fighting the other issue, so we just let that one go. According to the other reviews, apparently, others found the service to be bad, so please heed the advice! Our fault was that we ran into it while walking around rather than do the research. I've learned now to be safe and look this stuff up.
