Still the best place for sandwiches in Midtown. Even though they were forced out of their 7th Avenue site, I still go to 8th Avenue a few blocks away for the food. Great selection of food and I have NEVER been disappointed. Try it and you will agree. Cheers!

This was the worst restaurant experience I ever had. The waitress was rude and kept making mistakes. She threw my food out when she was supposed to have replaced it. When I asked where my food was she said I ate it all. I asked to see the manager and when he came to my table I tried to tell him what happened. I explained the waitress replaced my daughters food, but was supposed to have replaced mine. The manager responded by saying I ate all the food. My daughter and I explained that was not the truth. I said I was not going to pay for food I did not eat. the manager called the police on me. When the police arrived I explained what happened and they were very understanding and helpful. They spoke to the manager and the end result was I had to pay half the check for food I never ate. The waitress yelled at me and called me stupid many times in front of all the customers. I took my daughter to N.Y. to celebrate her birthday and the terrible experience at the Stage Deli ruined our day. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The manager, waitress and two people that worked behind the deli counter were so rude and unprofessional. The food was so bad I can't give them any rating.

Pastrami is fantastic. The crass short fat chick we got stuck with was flat rude. She had little interest in us as patrons and when it came to the check we had the following "post-payment" conversation:
Her: Where you from?
Us: PA
Her: Pennsylvanians don't tip very well do they?
Us: (speechless)
BTW: Based on the cash in her pocketbook she wasn't doing that bad. I guess 15% isn't good enough for crappy service in NY.
