Authetic family owned French, cute & cozy , inexpensive, excellent French food ,free glass of wine comes with the pre-theater menu , Eat there 2-3 times a year since 1990 on each NYC visit, and have never been disappointed. Everything always tasted fresh & vegetables were always crisp, not soft & soggy like they came out of a can. I hope it's still in the same family when we visit later this week.

What a miserable excuse for a restaurant. Food comes out overcooked, unsauced, without the slightest attention to presentation, and the manager can't be bothered to respond to a customer who wants to know why he received a slab of red hot dried-out cardboard instead of his sole meuniere. And why instead of foie gras, he has a pile of goopy slop that looks like snot and tastes like garbage.
The place used to be good, but in the past three months it has simply gone to the dogs. You'll do better ordering from a pushcart.

Fabulous!!! I am 59 years old and have been to all over the world, but I have NEVER had tastier fillet mignon, including my own, and I'm a good cook! I had it with the bernaise sauce July 13, 2007, and it was melt-in-your-mouth perfection!

This is the best food I have had in New York or even in Paris and, to top it off, it is very affordable. Friendly family atmosphere, excellent food, good price. What more could anyone want? I plan to return there every time I come to New York.
