I wasn't blown away by Aureole. We waited for our table for almost 20 minuets and were never offered a place at the bar or a drink while we waited. Once seated we were given a drink menu but the order was never taken and waited for service for another 30 minuets. Final someone took our food order but again we had to ask for drinks. The service was lacking to be kind. The food was typical and I found the steak to be entirely too salty. I'm not impressed...there are better places in this city to eat with much better service for the money. Don't bother.

I'm reading all these great reviews and it makes me wonder...are you used to dining in high end restaurants? If you're used to having $50 dinners at other places in NewYork perhaps you would be fooled by high prices into thinking this was a great restaurant. I beg to differ. the food is bland and the service was seriously off. I don't care what other people may be saying, Aureole is mediocre at best.
