I've eaten at every Vegetarian restaurant in the city and Zenith simply has the best food all around. There may be finer Vegetarian dining establishments with respect to atmosphere and service, but for consistent quality and taste, it doesn't get better than Zenith. Their Schnitzel (a sizzling breaded soy dish) and Fragant Chiken is a personal favorite as well as their mango pseudo "chicken" dish - neither of which is on the MenuPages menu. Both are best served dining-in rather than take-out. Their Hot and Sour Soup is the best I've had at any restaurant - Veg or Non-Veg - hands down. They recently renovated their 48th St space and it is much more pleasant than it used to be.... still not quite as nice as their old 51st St/ 8th Ave location, but perfectly nice for pre-theater dining none the less. The prix-fixe items are a steal.

Zenith Vegetarian. Last night's delivered dinner was from Zenith at 311 West 48th Street New York, NY (212-262-8080). We ordered the following meal. Edamame - a large portion of soy beans, lightly salted. Sweet Potato Sushi Roll - six little maki. Fragrant (Vegetarian) Chicken - flavorful soy curd and vegetables in a sweet sauce. Chocolate Truffle Cake - thick and creamy chocolatey goodness. Unbeknownst to us, our meal came with two mini bottles of Californian Cabernet and a bowl of Miso Soup as well, all for free! Aside from the communication problems with the delivery person, the meal was excellent. We both enjoyed the entire meal and give it five stars!

Create & tasty dishes -- my cousin & I went back every day we were in NYC just to try more! Service was excellent & they kept our water glasses full (very important during that heat wave). No complaints -- I highly recommend this restaurant.
