Went for the first time Sunday, 8/6. Line was literally out the door. I thought it would be worth the wait - was optimistic and didn't mind waiting. When I got to the register, I ordered a breakfast sandwich and the woman who was working the register left to go make my sandwich, with her bare hands, without washing them, after being on the register (and presumably handling cash). Would not recommend.
8/10: After posting my review on Google, the owner replied negatively and condescendingly, implying I was in a bad mood and lying about my experience. Part of being a business owner is admitting you are not 100% all of the time and being able to accept criticism. She made up a story about me "hovering in the kitchen" and having to come over to tell me that my food was almost ready - both of which are untrue. I was waiting next to the bags of coffee for sale and waiting for/with my friend (the customer after me) to get her food. Not only was I disgusted by her lack of hygiene and MANDATORY FOOD SERVICE PROTOCOLS, the fact that the owner replied to my review implying that I was lying about my experience is enough for me to never recommend this place to anyone. Newflash, Rana. You left the cash register and did not wash your hands. You then picked up slices of ham with your bare hands to make sandwiches. You were not wearing gloves. You should have replied to my initial review apologizing, admitting your mistake, and owning it - instead you made up a lie and claimed it was all on camera. Please, POST AWAY if I was truly hovering, being rude to your staff, and you were not making food. You can't, because you are lying.
Seriously, folks. She was handing dirty cash, and then making food with her bare hands. Any customer would have posted about this experience. I did not make a scene in the restaurant nor did I complain in person. The fact that she will again reply, claiming I am lying, is proof that she does not care about health department protocols or her PAYING CUSTOMERS.
