just got a slab of ribs to go and was surprised when I got them home to find 6 ribs of the most dried out variety I have ever seen. They werent even edible. Would not recommend. I guess in Missery a slab is only half of what it used to be

My wife and I moved down here last year. A friend from Minnesota was passing through the area and suggested we meet at the Buckshot Saloon and Home Style cooking.

We stopped in and ended up eating on the picnic tables out front. Our friend was traveling with a Labrodoodle who has separation anxiety when he can't be with his Mom.

The waitperson was knowledgable, friendly and helped us make informed choices.

The food was excellent, I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed potatos and green beans. The portions were huge, the crust on the steak was flaky, the steak tender the gravy tasty, real potatos and enough green beans for two meals. I had lived in Minnesota for 30 years and had forgotten how good Chicken Fried Steak is.

My Wife got a Brisket sandwich with french fries and our friend got the brisket quesadillas and fried onion rings. They both commented how tasty they were and the onion ring I was able to flitch was quite good.

The only reason this is not a 5 star review is the sweet tea. Appropriately sweetened and served with a lemon wedge the flavor was a little weak. If I could give a 4 and one half star I would.

We will be back.

First time back in November I tried this place the service was excellent and food was on point. This trip food was sloppy and service was horrible. Not sure where the old crew went but the new needs improvement.
