My Aunt Florence and her friend, Miss Coe Schaefer, opened a sandwich and ice cream shop on the square in the 1920s, calling it The Flocoe. Everyone in Pineville met there regularly. It was the place to go. I am so pleased to learn that it has been revived. May the end of the pandemic find it alive and well!!!
