Perhaps yesterday was one of their bad days as far as food goes. First of all we paid right at $50.00 for two meals. The sweet potatoes came from a can and they were not doctored up properly, the Mac n cheese was dried up, the cabbage watered down, the jerk chicken had no bite to it at all, the served portion sizes were very small not that it made a difference because the food is simply not good. It is suppose to be buffet but you are served one person at a time and the beverages are really sweet as in too sweet. The décor is nice to look at is the only thing I can say about the place. I will definitely not be going back.

review_stars 07/17/2020 - POOR QUALITY FOOD
How could Mama Sheila’s improve? First, let’s start with the food. Next, their attitude. Here’s the story. When my friend and I first arrived to the restaurant we were really impressed with the scenery. Cool vibes, clean environment. HOWEVER, once we saw the food, we were so incredibly disappointed!!! The food looked mad dry! So I thought maybe I should give it a try. I took a bite out the Mac first, heck nah. Then I took a bite out the mash potatoes, thought TF is this?! I tried to take one bite of everything and was super upset with how poor the quality of the food was. My friend and I were so upset that, in the heat of the moment, we left. NOW, before we left we talked to one of their employees. We expressed how we could not eat this. Then dipped. She definitely seemed shocked to see that we didn’t touch a single thing on our plates. About 30 mins later we realized that we had spent well over $40 and didn’t even get to eat our food. When we called the restaurant and explained what had happened, he said he needed to put us on a brief hold to speak to “Mama Sheila”. I LIE TO YOU NOT THIS MAN WAS HAVING FULL BLOWN CONVERSATIONS and not once brought up our situation. We dead aaa was listening to this man whole time. So my friend and I decided we’d head there to confront them in person, and I’m telling you that entire way there he had us on hold having convos with his co workers and junk. So we get to the restaurant and I show him my phone that shoes we were still on hold. (Thirty effing minutes). Instead of apologizing or explaining that maybe he forgot, he dead aaa rolled his eyes and said “hold on”. He presumably gets the owner/manager to speak to us (a male who appeared to be in charge of the place). We expressed how disappointed we were and that we wanted a refund. We were very kind about it (at first) because we get that we left but also had evidence that we didn’t eat any of the food. He basically said nah because we left. Of course, we get that, but we asked if he could grab the waitress that helped us because she can confirm that we didn’t eat our food. He told us no. We even suggested that we’d give him a good review. He was fighting us trying to give us a lecture on how everyone likes his food and never gotten complaints. Bro I don’t how anyone could say that: stuff was nasty. So we asked, what could we have done differently, should we have gone to you immediately? Would you have given us a refund? Man he said “maybe, maybe not” then he proceeds to tell us that even if we had eaten the food and didn’t like it he would’ve given us a refund as long as we would’ve gone to him immediately afterwards. BOY WAS WE HEATED! So you’re telling me, sure eat the food, eat the plate while u at it, just make sure u let us know if you didn’t enjoy it so we can properly refund you right away. BUT NOT “I see you didn’t eat any of the food since we don’t serve good quality food. As a result, you want a refund, therefore we will give you that refund although you left. We understood your anger, if I was you, I would be upset too”. Like he was really feeding us BS at this point (no pun intended). But trust me we don’t want what y’all serving. Anyways, not only did we have proof of not eating that nasty aaa school lunch food, but he wasn’t even tryna hear it and had the nerve to say that “everyone here loves our food”. Anyways, yes we shouldve asked for a refund right away, but we were visiting from out of state and were MAD! Like do y’all know what it’s like to sit down with a full plate of food and not like any of it. So nasty, bro so nasty. Finally, there is absolutely no reason to charge $14.95 for instant mashed potatoes and velveeta boxed macaroni. EXTREMELY disappointed!!
