A fun place inside the fancy Double Eagle restaurant. Serves New Mexican food with a Pacific rim twist...Green Chile Cheese Stuffed Wontons with Pineapple-Jalapeno Salsa!! Tasty.
Very Southern New Mexico. More influenced by Mexico than by the Pueblo Indians who influence Northern New Mexico cuisine. Must order: chile rellenos - big fleshy Big Jim chilies from Hatch, NM filled with three cheese so they are served round not flat like most rellenos in the area. Order the tomato sauce instead of the green chile sauce for a real treat - again, a very Chihuahua style recipe.
and, again, tasty!
They serve black beans - very good and they also have the refried and pinto beans for the unadventurous.
They advertise award-winning margaritas for a reason - they are big and pack a wollop!
