The authentic Mexican food here is absolutely delicious, reminiscent of a classic diner atmosphere. My wife and I enjoyed a combination plate that featured the best enchilada and refried beans we've had, while the chili relleno was flavorful as well. The service was friendly, and despite a few minor hiccups, the overall experience made it a must-visit during our time in Silver City.

I lived in Silver City from 1973-1986. All the locals know, there is no finer Mexican food than what is cooked at the Silver Cafe.

I'm 71, traveled extensively on business for 35 years. This is my all time favorite Mexican food restaurant.
This week I took my fiancee on a trip to New Mexico to introduce her to the best Mexican food in the world. She and I are both very good cooks and share the kitchen every day.

We visited Hatch, NM; where the worlds best green chili's are grown and we ate at a very good restaurant there. But the best meal of the trip was at the Silver Cafe, we had their Combination Enchilada Plate. My bride-to-be, told me that it is likely the best meal she ever ate. She absolutely loved the Green Chicken Enchilada's.

This small family owned and operated restaurant ranks with the very best. A must stop for those who appreciate excellent Mexican food. (Colorado and New Mexico are the only places where such great Mexican food exists)
