It's the best place you'll ever find, especially being out in the boonies! The cook/chef,Will, was so accommodating and fun! Can't wait to go back!

Its No wonder Suzy Blair is traveling alone (only bad review)
The Daily Pie is fantastic
I met some great people. They let me use their phone (I had no cell service). Good fast service, KILLER Green Chili Cheeseburger, great pie and Ice cream. The big guy Michael took time to give me advice on traveling and not to speed it paid for my lunch Im sure (on my way west there was state cop pulling someone over where the speed limit drops for no apparent reason). This place isnt just a cafe its an American landmark. Pioneer was closed even know their sign said they would be open

I dont know about the bad review? This place is awesome! I found everyone there to be very friendly and the burger was exceptional.
I had a piece of their hallmark New Mexican Apple pie and Ice cream
(home made!) the best pie I've ever had. Dont miss it when you travel through.

I had driven by several times and was always impressed about how many cars were in the parking lot for a small place in the middle of nowhere. So I made a special trip there to check out the pie. Got there an hour before closing and was welcomed like a long lost friend. The people that were leaving were talking about how good their meal had been, so I decided to have more than pie. The Green Chile and Cheese Burger was the best I have ever eaten. I then took a slice of the New Mexico Apple pie to go. Had I known how great it was (and I don't like apple pie) I would have taken 2 slices. The blend of the apple and chile was outstanding. Have to go back to try the Cherry Bomb, which they said they just could not make enough of.
