The restaurant is a small family-style spot off the highway, popular with locals, serving enormous portions of delicious burgers, patty melts, green chili fries, New Mexico and Navajo cookies, Navajo tacos, and stuffed sopapillas with a very nice staff who prioritize customer satisfaction by accommodating preferences and re-cooking orders if necessary.

First time at Gordo's; food was great, service very friendly and helpful. Be sure to order the tamales by the dozen to go. Excellent tamales.
