This place is a gem! To find such a delightful warm cafe with excellent food in a teensy tiny mountain village was a most welcome surprise. I will gladly drive the hour to Penasco just for a meal. The food is diverse and original, and appealingly served. The baked goods are out of this world. I adore New Mexican food, but a change of pace is always welcome - Sugar Nymph's provides it! A do not miss restaurant!

I stopped here with my niece who knew of the restaurant from a friend, and was pleasantly surprised to find Sugar Nymph Bistro to be expertly run by seasoned professionals. My squash soup and fresh salad were outstanding. This little gem is worth a detour on the Santa Fe to Taos drive.

service was poor, waitress wasn't busy but did not clear our finished dishes; another person cleared them after pursued a desert order

five burned scones were set in front of us, we picked at them (shouldn't have), mentioned they had been burned and were charged for replacements

I am from the Midwest, lamb chops here are the size of pork chops, sugar nymphs lamb chop bones were larger the the meat portion???? 3 bones with meat on the edges.....

waitress lay ed down a bill without the 18% gratuity assessed, leaving the potential to get more............. did not deserve the 18%....

service was slow, took 35 minutes to order. the pizza was good but when we asked for plates the waitress never came back. we were upcharged $7.50 for having the pizza 1/2 veggie and 1/2 meat. When I mentioned it to the owner she said that was how it was done in restaurants sweetie! As if I was some hayseed who had never to town, truth is I have operated restaurnts from coast to coast for 30 years. I will not be back! Go to pizza outback in Taos, the pizza is just as good and they have a patio and good service!
