Easter Sunday brunch today, April 9, 2023, was a total disappointment! Reservation for 11:00am. Buffet served at our table reserved for 6. Food was mediocre…. stringy asparagus, not really edible, overdone boiled potatoes and dry ham. Meals were all served barely lukewarm! Certainly nothing to brag about. A couple of guests got to go boxes for their dogs!
All of our guests felt as though we were on a schedule meaning courses were served one right after another without much time to enjoy conversation. Extremely disappointed and not even an apology or visit from dining room managers. Except for one sever, not even ours, no one seemed to give a damn. The only 2 items of quality were the Prosecco, wine, and the piñon tart! Otherwise it was a total ‘embarrassment to take our guests there! Never again!

Cafe service runs hot & cold.
Staffing shortages due to Covid and the unexpected influx of travelers can cause stress on staff is understandable.
We decided to break our 2 year boycott and ordered on 10/9 and the service and food were wonderful - the best we’ve had there in years. The home cut fries were thick and perfect. Burgers cooked to perfection. Finally, there is hope of the Cafe returning to its previous glory. Service was a bit slow but they were busy.
Ordered again on 10/10- it was a definitely not up to par for service you would expect from such a hotspot in the area. Definitely not as busy as the night before.
It took a good 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge we were waiting - wait staff were running into each other going in/out of the kitchen area empty handed.
Placed our order and returned at the specified time to pick up- was not ready. Waited another 10 minutes. Our burgers were Luke warm at best, dry and over cooked. The fries were thin, limp and cold - nothing comparable with the previous orders. These were all cut about a 1/8 inch thick - very unusual for this restaurant.
Guess it is time to take another long break from eating at the only game in this town. Will try again in another couple of years to see if we can get any consistency. Such a shame.
